St Philips Footbridge in Bristol has made the final round of the ICE South West Awards 2020.

A shortlist of 12 projects was selected by an expert panel of judges from entries to the ICE South West Civil Engineering Awards 2020, in association with Kier Bam.

Now, it’s the turn of the public to vote for the scheme they believe has had the greatest positive impact to their lives and local communities from projects completed in 2019.

The People’s Choice Award, along with the winners of the other award categories, will be announced at the ICE South West Civil Engineering Awards and Dinner 2020, in association with Kier Bam, in Bristol on Thursday 22 October 2020.

Projects drawn from Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire are included in this year’s People’s Choice shortlist, with voting open until Sunday 14 June 2020.

About St Philips Footbridge

This St Philips Footbridge is a clever marriage of architectural and structural design, enabling the provision of a new ‘green travel’ route to a major new regeneration area of Bristol city centre.  The £4.3m project required separate construction on both riverbanks and a single operation to lift the bridge into place.

Voting is open for the People’s Choice Award to find the South West’s top civil engineering scheme.
